The IT Help Desk position is responsible for keeping records for computer assets and inventories, providing technical support and troubleshooting services to end-users to resolve any computer hardware or software issues.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for users regarding overall support, policies and procedures.
  • Keep users always informed on status of their tickets.
  • Follow up with assigned personnel to ensure timely resolution of problems.
  • Document and maintain solutions in appropriate support systems.
  • Escalate recurring problems to the Manager, Operations, ensuring that all efforts at troubleshooting the issue have been made.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and work with the Manager, Operations to implement processes that enhance Help Desk operations.
  • Assembling of PCs for new employees.
  • Replacing malfunctioning items.
  • Providing computers with network, mail and domain settings.
  • Assisting IT department with internal network to ensure it is fully functioning.
  • Providing training support to end users.
  • Data back up and restoration.
  • Troubleshooting minor IT issues for employees.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in an information technology position, providing computer support.
  • Hardware (desktop/laptop) troubleshooting; Microsoft Windows and Office troubleshooting.
  • Experience in end-user support, assisting and training.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Self-motivated, energetic and able to adapt quickly to change.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
